Issue
People.ai had been considering expanding their engineering team abroad until they chose Ukraine as the most attractive offshore destination.
However, the company began working with multiple service providers simultaneously that worked on different or even the same tasks. This, in turn, led to delayed deadlines, coordination issues, and inefficient results.
To streamline their expansion efforts, People.ai sought assistance from Alcor as an all-in-one-place provider. The company delegated all back-office operations, including tech recruitment and Employer of Record, to our team.
Solution
Our legal and finance teams devised the most efficient legal structure for running People.ai's tech team in Ukraine. With the formalities sorted, we moved to office leasing. Over 4 weeks, Alcor’s sysadmins and real estate managers conducted thorough onsite checks of each office, considering all the client's requests in terms of location, price, as well as IT and security infrastructure.
Once People.ai made their office choice, our lawyers negotiated a beneficial lease agreement with the landlord, ensuring the office was ready for a long-term lease. Meanwhile, our tech recruiters started sourcing for the best candidates on behalf of the client, which eventually led to a team of 25 software developers.
This allowed People.ai to focus on their product and business, delegating the R&D opening process entirely to Alcor, while maintaining the ability to monitor and discuss ongoing work via meetings and emails.
