Sift is a leading USA-based tech product company that develops online fraud detection and management solutions by using machine learning and artificial intelligence. 34,000 websites and applications already use Sift technologies to protect and boost their revenue. In 2021, Sift became a unicorn company after raising $50 million of funding from Insight Partners.
Issue
Sift decided to open its new software R&D branch in Eastern Europe and narrowed down the candidate search to one city - Kyiv. Their team already accounted for 180 people worldwide, 50 of which were developers, and they had an ambitious aim to hire 100 more talented specialists.
The plan was to hire 30-35 developers in 2021 (5-10 in the first quarter). Sift had one in-house tech recruiter that could help with hiring local developers but this wasn’t enough.
The company’s VP of Engineering collected reviews from local tech companies and reached out to Alcor as one of the best providers of the software R&D center solution with tech recruitment and Employer of Record support in Eastern Europe.
Solution
Alcor engaged 10 Researchers and 3 Tech Recruiters to work on Sift’s vacancies. Our dedicated Account Manager was the single point of contact for Sift to achieve smooth and organized process. At the beginning of our cooperation, we were making job offers every week despite the long 3-stage panel interview.
To fuel the tech recruitment process, we conducted an employer branding campaign for Sift in the local tech market. Our team organized a video shooting with the Hiring Manager from Sift which helped recruiters to encourage candidates to opt for Sift over other companies.
Apart from that, Alcor has been purchasing equipment for Sift's developers. As a result, the client doesn’t have to worry about getting new laptops, monitors, headsets, or any other hardware.
